I was at this place for Honeymoon in May'10 and it is just awesome. If you are looking for a cozy place away from the crowd, then this is it. The owner Jaenis is a perfect host and very helpful and makes you feel at home. The rooms are big enough and I liked the interiors and design. The whole place is impeccably clean and the garden is well maintained. The nearest beach is a 2 min drive from the hotel. Breakfast is descent too. Balconies are spacious and with a clear view to the sea. I will definitely stay here if I happen to visit Chania again.
The kitchen could be better equipped. We would have been happy to have a water heating jug and a vegetable chopper.
I liked the lokation, the surroundings and very nice room.
The situation and location, the sea, the pool when full of water, the rooms and a wonderfull seeview. It's also very, very quiet
On Monday they clean the pool, so if you want to stay at the hotel and would like to swimm in the pool or refresh in it it's impossible. You have to wait all the day till the end of afternoon with no excuses or arrangement or price reduction. You just have to be happy that they clean the pool once in the week (that's what they said) !!!! Really not fair and professional. I've never seen that before. For breakfast there's no fresh orange juice (plenty of oranges in this country) and i've seen places with more choices of bread (only toasts) or else menues. One of the climatisation was'nt working 100 %. Internet connexion looks as from stone age. No kitchen equipment efficient. ....
Beautiful, peaceful, cozy place to stay and relax between adventures in Crete.
Everything in this hotel is just perfect. The boss and the staff are very kind, but everyone must know that in Creta island you must have a car for trips. P.S. Go to bahar restaurant, a very good place just in 1 km. distance. Sunsets are wonderfull.
May be a bycicle rent, but one can live without it as well.
Kindly staff, peaceful and quiet location, sweet and comfort apartments
Friendly staff in beautiful sorrounding. The apartments are well designed and have a beautiful view on the sea.
The kitchen equipment could have been better.
The rooms were very well equipped. Sea view from the terrace was breathtaking. Nearness to all main attractions in the area especially the city of chania. Quiet and peaceful. nice bar. Friendly people running the place
The hotel area is very nice, the hotel facilities are quite poor and every day we had to go to blue beach, Zorba and other hotels and beach as the hotel does not have a ceach, also the hotel rooms are not realy desined to have 4-5 person inside as there is no privecy at all. in the rooms there is no basic services, no sope, no shampoo, very poor kitchen. We enjoyed the vacation very much but not the stay in Kavos, next time we go to this area we will go to other hotel.
Very basic room services and facilities
The resort is a beautifully designed facility with a lovely pool overlooking the sea. It is a little remote from the nearby towns/villages but we were looking for a more secluded spot so we were expecting that. The three person occupancy in our room was a little tight but we were really on there to sleep. Each room has an outdoor sitting area which is nice. The garden and plantings are beautiful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We had three studios all with great views. We especially enjoyed having evenings drinks at the balcony with nothing but the sounds of nature. This is a good place to relax, with a beach area and tavernas in the nearby town of Stavros - about a mile away. This is a place we will definitely stay at again if we return to Crete. Yannis and his staff offered wonderful Cretan hospitality.
Don't have any complaints, but having a car is recommended if you want to stay at Kavos Beach. The closest bus stop is about a kilometer away; in the summer, it can be a long, hot walk to/from the hotel.
This was the second time I stayed at the hotel. The location and size of the apartment was wonderful. The location was close to Stavros beach and easy to get into Chania. The balcony on the second level had great views of the sea.
Incredible value for money. The staff very helpful. The hotel is right on the coast and from the hotel room balcony you have a lovely view on the sea which also gives you incredible sunsets as it is facing west. It is preferable to have access to a car. It is a wonderful place and quiet, 20 minutes drive from Chania. The beach in Stavros nearby is great but it is also a perfect place to base yourself to discover the rest of West Crete. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, away from the crowds and noises, with family or with your partner, I throughly recommend this hotel.
Kavos is in a beautiful quiet location on the water, with a pool that feeds straight from the sea. The rooms are very nice, and the staff is pleasant and helpful.
It's a 15 minute walk from the hostel to the sand beach and "super market", which is more like a 7-11. Also, if you want to explore Crete, you really need a rental car, since you need to take a 1.5 h bus that only runs a few times a day from Stavros to Chania, and then you have to catch another bus to get from Chania to other parts of the island.
This hotel is very modern (was built in 2008) and beautiful. The seaview and the garden with the pool are wonderful. Our apartment was very nice with two big terraces. The Stavros beach (5 minutes driving) is clean with shallow water: very nice.
The apartment has two floors: this can be a problem in a family with small children. Actually, the attendant proposed us to change the apartment, but the second one was smaller. The hotel can't provide meals (only breakfast) and if you don't cook in the kitchenette you have to move to the closest village by car. The room and the kitchenette are very small: this is non a problem if you stay on the terraces but could be a problem with bad weather.
